What can you do?

  • Call 911 if you are in danger or injured
  • Keep the following things in a safe place:
  • Important documents like green cards, passports, birth and marriage certificates
  • Personal jewelry
  • Extra house and car keys
  • Check books, credit cards and money
  • Telephone numbers and address books
  • If you leave home, take your children with you and the important documents and things listed above
  • Get help by calling someone you trust or a 24-hour hotline
