NARIKA’s mission is to promote women’s independence and economic empowerment by helping domestic violence survivors with advocacy, support, information, referrals, and education.

Founded in 1992, we believe in an informal familial model of service, engaging crisis survivors as sisters rather than clients, and providing assistance in several South Asian languages.

OUR MISSION

Last year alone, Narika’s advocates fielded over 1500 calls
and emails to our Helpline, a majority of them being requests
for assistance from South Asian women who were survivors
of some form of domestic violence either by partners or
their families.

Email us today if you would like more information about
our Helpline program.

Confidential, toll-free Helpline: 1-800-215-7308

NARIKA aims to create community circles with support groups for crisis survivors and spearhead health and wellness workshops to foster holistic self-care and well-rounded growth among women.

Our H.E.A.L initiative stands for Health, Enrichment and Access to Life Skills. Please email us to learn more about how you can help!

Narika’s toll-free Helpline (1-800-215-7308) enables any individual who has been a victim of domestic violence to call in and speak to any one of our sensitive and knowledgeable advocates.
Recent immigrants to the US can be at risk for financial exploitation and abuse due to their economic and linguistic isolation. The self-empowerment & economic development program helps them become self-sufficient and abuse-free.
Our support groups in Fremont and Pleasanton offer confidential, culturally specific support for women survivors of domestic violence. To enroll, call 510-444-6048, or email narika@narika.org.
Share Your Wear is our annual sale of gently-used and new donated South Asian clothes in the Bay Area. The proceeds are used to sustain Narika’s programs and directly benefit our clients.
